September 15 More Tom (Tjaart) DoornbosHello,
I was going through some old boxes left by my deceased father, and found a negative of a picture of a man with two pails across his shoulders, some negatives of some old looking buildings, and a letter written in dutch addressed to "T Doornbos". I was wondering if you knew of any living relatives that I could correspond with, to inquire if they would like to have these artifacts. My Dad, Ozzie (Oswald) Sopracolle, worked at the mine at Yellowknife in the 1960's. He also worked as a prospector in the Arctic, and came in contact with several famous people; Sonny Arden, Farley Mowat, Langlois, and Duncan Pride, among others. I was intrigued by the photo negative of Mr. Doornbos, but alas my dad passed away in 1998 and there are many things that I never got to ask him. Of course you have my permission to publish my email. I would be very pleased to restore ownership of the letter and negatives to a relative. Sincere regards,
